At iLeap International, we work with parliamentarians, senior government officials, women in leadership positions to publicly (as well as) privately express continued support for women’s health. We work to ensure that policies are enacted that proactively prevent problems and ameliorate existing challenges. Finally, to allocate resources appropriate to tackle challenges facing women’s health.
Violence against women is an unacceptable degradation of women’s rights. Sexual coercion, sexual violence and harmful traditional practices such as female genital mutilation are unacceptable degradation of women’s rights. We will continue to work with institutions penalizing perpetrators of violence against women. iLeap International continues to broaden our education program and involve professional organizations and women’s groups in anti-FGM campaigns, as well as interaction with communities in addressing the cultural reasons for perpetuation of this harmful practice.
Our Brand Ambassadors act as spokespersons and also present themselves as role models for change on women’s health and their rights. They bring the matter of poor women’s health to the fore at national platforms. By disseminating key messages through the mass media on television, radio and social media platforms, we help raise awareness and inform the public about the problem and solutions.
